Sleep Data Sonification

This project explored an interdisciplinary approach to data sonification, focusing on the field of sleep apnea and hypopnea detection. The software translates apneas and hypopneas into Ableton Live automation data that can be used to control any parameter in Ableton. This demo provides a quick look at the three different development environments of the project. For the sake of simplicity, only one low-pass filter is being automated to most clearly demonstrate the program’s functionality. My role in the project was implementing the routing of data from Python into Ableton using Max/MSP.
